privacy, in plain words

short version: if you just look at memes, rate them, share them or download them, we never learn who you are. no cookies, no ads, no tracking id. if you join the game, your ratings and (optional) survey answers get linked to your player name so keltan can learn which memes work for which groups.

everyone

when you swipe, add to your pack, share, copy or download a meme, the site records: which meme, what you did (and which app, for shares), your country (Cloudflare tells us this; we don't keep your IP), whether you're on a phone or a computer, and the time. there is no cookie or id that connects one visit to the next.

to stop bots flooding the ratings, we count requests per day using a scrambled one-way hash of your IP address mixed with a secret that changes every day. the counters are deleted within 2 days. Cloudflare (our host) also runs its own cookie-less visit counter.

stored only in your browser

your pack, which memes you've already swiped, your settings and theme, and your game key live in your browser's storage. they don't leave your device, except the game key, which is sent to log you in.

if you join the game

public: your player name, your profile picture (if you add one), your crown (prince / princess / theyce), your p(clips) (the points) and rank, your coins, your favourite meme and video, the account usernames you add to your profile (with a ✓ if one matches an account you logged a checked post from), how many of your posts counted and how many of your memes got approved, and the day you joined. tap any name on the leaderboard to see their profile.

profile pictures: your browser shrinks and re-saves the picture before it's sent (that also strips hidden info like location), and it's stored with Cloudflare. anyone can report a picture: three reports from different people hide it until keltan checks it. remove it any time in settings ⚙️.

private: the posts you log (we fetch the public post from reddit, x or bluesky to check it's real and still up), your ratings (now linked to your player name), and the optional survey: age range, gender, politics, how worried you are about AI, whether you work in tech, and how you found us. survey answers are only ever used added up ("memes about AI labs land better with people over 35"), never shown next to your name, never sold, never shared.

you need to be 16 or older to join. lost or leaked ur key? settings ⚙️ has "new key", which makes the old one stop working everywhere.

the radio

radio songs play from this site. youtube tracks on the radio load from youtube-nocookie.com only when one starts playing (youtube can then see your visit and may store data in your browser), and a youtube player is visible while they play. your radio settings (on/off, shuffle, station, volume) are remembered in your browser only.

videos on profiles

a favourite video on someone's profile only loads from youtube (youtube-nocookie.com), tiktok or instagram when you tap play. until then, nothing is fetched from them. once you tap, that site can see your visit and its own rules apply.

the glut (bulk-dumped memes)

memes you dump into the glut are stored with Cloudflare, shown to other logged-in players to judge, and (if they're approved) shown to everyone, credited to your player name. your browser shrinks and re-saves each picture first, which strips hidden info like location. who voted what in the glut is never shown to anyone. if you delete your account, your glut memes and votes go with it.

memes you submit

memes made in the meme maker and submitted are stored privately until keltan looks at them. approved ones go on the site and become free for anyone to use, like every meme here. rejected ones are deleted.

bug reports

if you send one, it holds what you wrote, the contact you gave (only if you gave one), the page you were on, your browser and screen size, your theme and sound setting, and any errors the site hit. if you're logged in to the game, it's linked to your player. only keltan reads them, and they're deleted once the bug is dealt with.

how long

anonymous ratings are kept indefinitely (they can't be traced to anyone). game data is kept until you delete your account: settings ⚙️ → delete my account + data. that removes your player, picture, coins, posts, p(clips), submissions and survey answers straight away, and unlinks your ratings from you. if keltan saved names for you with a special invite link, those names stay saved for you (and the link works again), but nothing else is kept.

who
